Open the Book is an exciting programme that offers primary school children an opportunity to hear key Bible stories, from a team of storytellers from local churches. The stories are presented in a fun and interactive way that both children and teachers love. Each presentation takes 10–15 minutes and can be incorporated into a school assembly, or can stand alone. This video shows what an Open the Book school assembly looks like in a Catholic Primary School. It was filmed as part of an Open the Book pilot in Catholic schools in the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle. As you’ll see, it was a huge success!
